Jordan Burgess recently picked up two D-1 offers from in-state schools. VCU offered on Friday and George Mason also has offered the versatile 6-foot-5 swingman. Notre Dame, Providence, Massuchusetts have also shown interest.

VCU probably doesn't have to send a recruiting pamphlet since Jordan's brother Bradford plays for the Rams and started as a freshman on a VCU team that made the NCAA tournament last season.  Jordan says he will most likely play the same position as his brother. "I would be playing wing in college," said Jordan, "either as a shooting guard or small forward."

Older brother Bradford tries to help Jordan out as much as possible. "He helps me with my game" Jordan said. "When we play pickup ball together, I'm able to play against older and more stronger guys. But our games are different  because I think I am more aggressive than Bradford was.

Last year, as a sophomore, Burgess averaged close to eight points for Bishop O Connell in the ultra tough WCAC conference. There have been rumors that Burgess would return to Richmond to play at Benedictine where he started his high school career. "I'll be at O Connell next year," he said.
